A CHANCE TO HAVE YOUR SAY! A chance to have YOUR say on the type of sentences meted out to those who break the law. Do you sometimes feel Magistrates are too lenient? That prison is less of a deterrent than it used to be? That Anti Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOS) are ineffective and Community Service is not working? Then why not come along to the March 7th meeting at the Dophin Hotel, Beach Station Road, at 7.15pm – 9.15pm to listen to and to question the experts. An interesting and interactive presentation is to be given by members of the Local Crime Community Sentence (LCCS) project, which aims to increase confidence in community sentences. The LCCS is a partnership between the probation service and Magistrates and Suffolk Criminal Justice Board. Tea/coffee/cold drinks available upon request.
